Terms & Conditions of Sale
Terms & Conditions of Sale
Last updated: 27 October 2026
These terms explain how shopping with us works, from placing your order to receiving your items, and what happens if you need to cancel an order or return something.
We’ve kept things straightforward because we believe you should know where you stand when buying from us. Please take a moment to read these terms before placing an order.
Placing an order
To place an order, choose your items, select your size and any other available options, and complete checkout.
Please check your basket, delivery address and order details before paying. If you notice a mistake after placing your order, contact us as soon as possible. We’ll try to help, but we cannot guarantee changes can be made once your order is being processed or has been dispatched.
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order with mensBUTTON.
After you place an order, we’ll send you an email confirming we’ve received it. This does not, by itself, mean we’ve accepted the order.
Your order is accepted when we send you an email confirming acceptance or dispatch. At that point, a contract between you and mensBUTTON is formed.
In some cases, we may be unable to accept an order. This could happen if an item is out of stock, payment cannot be authorised, or there’s an obvious mistake in the product information or price. If this happens, we’ll contact you and explain what happens next. If we’ve taken payment for an order we cannot fulfil, we’ll refund the amount due to you.
Our products
We take care to show our clothing as accurately as possible, including colours, materials, fit and product details.
Colours can look slightly different depending on your screen, device settings and lighting. Small differences in manufacturing measurements may also occur, so we recommend checking the size guide before ordering.
Please read the product description carefully, particularly where it explains the fit, fabric composition or other features.
These small differences do not give us the right to supply something that is faulty or materially different from its description. Your legal rights remain in place.
Prices and offers
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£), unless another currency is clearly stated. Applicable taxes are included in the displayed price where required. Any delivery charge will be shown separately before you complete your order.
We check our prices and product details carefully, but mistakes can happen. If we find an obvious pricing error before accepting your order, we’ll contact you and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel. If payment has already been taken and we cannot fulfil the order, we’ll arrange the appropriate refund.
If an obvious mistake is discovered after your order has been accepted, we’ll contact you to discuss a fair solution. Any action we take will be subject to your legal rights.
Prices, discounts and promotional offers may change over time. Changes will not normally affect orders we’ve already accepted.
Some offers or discount codes may have specific conditions, such as an expiry date, minimum spend or exclusions. We’ll make these conditions clear when the offer is advertised or the code is provided.
Payment
The payment methods available to you will be shown at checkout. We normally take payment when you place your order.
If payment is declined or cannot be completed, we may not be able to process your order. If you believe you’ve been charged incorrectly, please contact us with your order number so we can investigate.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Your use of their services may also be subject to their own terms.
For information about how personal information is handled, please read our Privacy Policy.
Order changes and cancellations
If you need to change an item, correct your address or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible.
We’ll do our best to help if your order hasn’t progressed too far. However, once an order has been processed or dispatched, we may not be able to make the change you requested.
If your order has already been dispatched, you can follow the cancellation and returns process explained in Section 8. This does not affect any legal cancellation rights you have.
Delivery
We currently deliver within the United Kingdom. The available delivery services, estimated delivery times and charges will be shown on our website or at checkout.
We process orders seven days a week, although this does not mean every order will be dispatched on the day it is placed. Processing times can depend on stock availability and other practical factors.
Delivery times are estimates unless we’ve expressly agreed a different arrangement with you. If something outside our reasonable control delays your order, we’ll do our best to keep you informed.
If we cannot deliver within the agreed period, or within the applicable legal deadline where no period has been agreed, you may have the right to cancel and receive a refund.
Please make sure your delivery address is correct before completing checkout. If a delivery attempt fails, follow the instructions provided by the delivery company to rearrange delivery or collect your parcel.
If a parcel is returned to us because it could not be delivered or was not collected, we’ll contact you to discuss the next steps. Any deductions from a refund will only be made where permitted by law.
Your responsibility for the goods begins when they are delivered to you or to someone you’ve identified to receive them. Simply marking a parcel as dispatched does not transfer responsibility to you.
Ownership of the goods passes to you once we’ve received full payment.
For further information, please see our Shipping & Returns Policy.
Returns, refunds and your right to cancel
We want you to feel comfortable shopping with mensBUTTON. If something isn’t right, the next step depends on whether you’ve changed your mind or the product has a fault.
If you've changed your mind
When you buy clothing online as a consumer in the UK, you generally have the legal right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason.
If an order arrives in separate deliveries, the 14-day period normally starts when you receive the last item.
To use this right, you must tell us clearly that you want to cancel within the applicable 14-day period. You can contact us using the email address above or use the cancellation form at the end of these terms.
Once you’ve told us you want to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to send the goods back.
Return postage for change-of-mind returns: Unless we’ve stated otherwise, you’ll be responsible for the direct cost of returning items when you’ve simply changed your mind. Please follow the instructions in our Shipping & Returns Policy before sending anything back.
Please take reasonable care of items while deciding whether to keep them. You’re allowed to handle clothing as you reasonably would in a shop, including trying it on to check the fit. If an item has been handled beyond what is necessary to check it, we may be entitled to reduce your refund to reflect any loss in value caused by that handling.
Some products may be excluded from cancellation for hygiene reasons where the law allows this, for example certain sealed items once their protective seal has been broken. Any applicable restriction will be explained before purchase.
These exceptions do not remove your rights if a product is faulty or not as described.
Refunds for change-of-mind cancellations
If you cancel within your legal cancellation period, we’ll refund the amount you’re entitled to receive under the law.
This includes the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option where required. If you chose a more expensive delivery service, we’re not required to refund the additional cost of that upgrade.
We’ll normally issue your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or receiving evidence that you’ve sent them back, whichever happens first.
Refunds will be made using your original payment method unless we’ve agreed otherwise. Any reduction for loss of value will only be made where the law allows it.
If an item is faulty or not as described
We expect every item we sell to be of satisfactory quality, fit for its normal purpose and as described on our website.
If you receive a faulty item or something that doesn’t match its description, please contact us and explain the problem. Photographs may help us understand what’s happened.
We cover the reasonable return costs for faulty or incorrectly described items where we’re responsible for them. We’ll explain how to arrange the return and what happens next.
Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, you may be entitled to a refund, repair or replacement. For eligible faulty goods, you generally have a 30-day short-term right to reject them for a refund. Other remedies and time limits can apply after that period.
We’ll assess the issue fairly and in line with the law. We won’t ask you to pay return costs where the law requires us to cover them.
For practical instructions, please see our Shipping & Returns Policy.
Discount codes and promotions
Discount codes and promotional offers may have their own conditions, including expiry dates, minimum spends and product exclusions.
Please check the conditions before using a code. Unless an offer says otherwise, discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash or combined with other offers.
If a code doesn’t work at checkout, check that it’s still valid and that your order meets the conditions. If you believe there’s a mistake, contact us before completing your purchase.
Nothing in this section affects your legal rights.
Events outside our control
Sometimes events beyond our reasonable control can affect our ability to fulfil an order. These may include severe weather, flooding, fire, transport disruption, strikes, public emergencies or interruptions to essential services.
If an event like this affects your order, we’ll take reasonable steps to keep you informed and explain any delay.
We won’t be responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control to the extent permitted by law. However, this does not remove any legal rights you may have relating to delivery, cancellation or refunds.
Website content and intellectual property
The mensBUTTON name, logo, product photographs, descriptions, graphics and other original content on our website belong to us or are used with permission from the relevant rights holder.
You may browse our website and use it for personal shopping. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute or use our content commercially without permission from the relevant rights holder.
We aim to keep our website available and its information accurate, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or that every part of the website will always be free from errors.
We may update products, information and website features over time. Changes will not remove rights relating to orders we’ve already accepted.
Your personal information
We use the information you provide to process your orders, arrange delivery, manage returns, respond to questions and meet our legal obligations.
We may also use your information for other purposes explained in our Privacy Policy, including marketing where we have the appropriate legal basis or consent.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with and the rights available to you.
Our responsibility to you
We take our responsibilities as a retailer seriously and will work with you to resolve problems with your order fairly.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. This includes liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
We do not exclude or limit your statutory consumer rights. Where the law permits a limit on our responsibility, that limit will apply only to the extent allowed by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our business, website or legal requirements change.
The latest version will be available on this page, along with the date it was updated. The version that applies to your order will not be changed retrospectively in a way that takes away your rights.
We recommend checking this page before placing an order.
Other important points
Your legal rights: These terms work alongside your legal rights as a consumer. They do not replace them.
Transfer of a contract: We may transfer our rights or responsibilities under a contract where legally permitted and where this does not unfairly affect your rights. You may not transfer your contractual rights or obligations to someone else unless we agree or the law allows it.
If a term cannot be enforced: If a court decides that part of these terms is unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.
If we do not enforce a term straight away: If we do not act immediately when a term has been broken, that does not mean we’ve given up our right to act later.
Third parties: A person who is not part of the contract between you and mensBUTTON does not normally have the right to enforce these terms.
Language and records: These terms are written in English. We’ll provide order and contract information as required by law. We recommend keeping a copy of these terms and your order confirmation for your records.
Which law applies?
These terms and any contract between you and mensBUTTON are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
If there’s a problem, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it directly.
Nothing in this section limits your right to bring a claim in a court where you’re legally entitled to do so.
